Minister to Launch Click & Collect

10th March 2023

This Sunday, Minister for Agricultural Industry Development and Fisheries Mark Furner will return to the Noosa Farmers Market to launch another milestone in the development of the partnership that exists between the market owners and the farmers, producers and artisans that make up the stallholders of arguably the regions best and most well known markets.

Three years ago Minister Furner was in Noosa to launch the Local Farmers brand which reinforces the bond between community well being, healthy and nuturial food and local food security.

This Sunday from 8.30am the Minister will be back at the markets to launch the Click & Collect and Home Delivery initiative which expands the ability of our food producers to supply locals direct to their car boot or front door.

Shane and Ishtarlia Stanley have operated the Noosa Farmers Market for over 20 years together with the very best Local Farmers and producers the region has to offer and believe that Click & Collect together with Home Deliveries is an important step in the evolution of the local food network.

Shane Stanley expanded on this saying “this will allow our Local Farmers to expand production, and give time poor residents access to food that in many cases was in the paddock just hours before hand.”

Minister Furner said he was proud to be back at the markets supporting local businesses.

“I’m so pleased to see that profits from Noosa Farmers Market Click & Collect and Home Deliveries will go directly back to local farmers,” Mr Furner said.

“Supporting your local farmers market means supporting local farmers and local jobs, so it’s fantastic that you can now do that from home at the touch of a button.

“This initiative will also be expanded to the Kawana Waters Farmers Market in the coming weeks.”

As Shane Stanley pointed out “orders can be placed now at www.noosafarmersmarket.com.au regardless of the number of farmers or producers customers choose to purchase from it is all handled in one transaction.

“It’s easy, affordable and it’s fresh healthy food.”
