From scratching out a living under the harshest of conditions to over time expanding not just to feed a few but entire communities. In many respects things haven’t changed all that much, today’s farmers still battle droughts, floods and infestations, it’s a seven day a week fifty-two weeks of the year commitment, farming is relentless and while it certainly has its rewards weather events and market conditions can be crushing.
Today’s farm is a modern usiness, to survive and prosper it has specialised, implements the latest techniques using expensive equipment designed specifically for the crop or product produced and most importantly today’s Local Farmer competes with interstate and international producers whose fruit, vegetables and other produce flood our supermarket isles.

Twenty-one years ago Shane Stanley and Ishtarlia Stanley-McVinnie realised that increasingly consumers wanted reassurance about what they consumed, confident that their food is fresh, healthy and grown under the best environmental conditions. The Noosa Farmers Market was the result and for all those years the partnerships developed between the Stanley Family and our Local Farmers has provided quality food on dining tables. Like farmers from thousands of years ago the produce available from the Noosa Farmers Market comes from the soil where it will be consumed, grown or produced by farmers and artisans who live in our region and employ locals.
The Noosa Farmers Market is now much more than somewhere to shop or socialise on a Sunday the introduction of Click and Collect and Home Deliveries gives additional choices to time poor residents, whichever way you choose to buy you can be reassured that the food on your table was in many instances in the ground only hours ago and not in an interstate cold room.
